This takes me back to 1970 when my Dad gave me a 1970 Spaceview Accutron for High School Graduation (Oakridge High, Orlando Florida) watchrepair@bellsouth.net Vibrograf Calibration CD: this CD which I made, lets you check your watch timing machines using a DVD/CD player and headphones. This project took me 3 Saturdays to devise the formulas, set up the spreadsheet calculations, verify the sawtooth waveform files for accuracy, and figure out how to make the CDs. The way it works is that you place the headphones on the watch-holder microphone. The sound from the microphone is a loud "tick" noise, plus, the electromagnetic pulse of the voicecoil also can trigger sensors for Accutrons. Ok, now I need to generate some files for the Accutron beat frequencies, which are 360 Hz and 440 Hz (for the ladies model) Here is a sample of the Rolex 28,800 Beat, keeping exact time: click this for the .mp3 file |
